This will ensure that loose hinges and springs are fixed immediately and hence do not escalate to bigger problems.  Similarly, all moving parts of the door should be lubricated regularly, which is the best solution for squeaky garage doors.

At the same time, problematic parts are better replaced than fixed. As the years pass, new garage door technology is introduced and you could replace your older parts with the technologically advanced once you encounter a problem.
